Couples #7 & #8

The last two in the Couples Series, for a little while anyway. The back ground on the left, and close up below, is Pastels applied to blue card stock. I really like the effect, what do you all think? The back ground on the right is torn designer papers.
Thanks for the visit and leaving a note,
Hugs,
Lori

Couples #5 & Couples #6

No fancy names for these two ATC's, just "Couples #5" and "Couples #6". These have been fun, only one post left. I have several couples left but I have other things to show you and other things to make. Don't forget to give this couple a name on this post!

What I Love About Pink...

Here are a few of my favorite things. My top five "Pink" this week:

This dining room gave me the idea to post my top five favorites. The simplicity of a pink and white color palette is just gorgeous, don't you think? The clean lines are lovely with the swirling patterned panels. I love that chandelier too.

Now how can you go wrong with a pink refrigerator? I suppose it could be unappetizing if you aren't fond of pink, but I am, so who cares? The floor is outrageous!!!

Pretty little teacups, elegant and dainty. The miniature roses in the back are a nice touch.

Flamingo's are amazing, look at those yellow and black beaks. Very color coordinated, don't you agree?

And speaking of black, how about the accents this model is sporting with her pink hat and jacket? Pink~Polka Dots~Feathers~Hat=drama Nude lip color and subtle blush are a must.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my first ever "Top Five" ~ I would love to hear what you think
Pink Hugs,
Lori

Beautiful Witches Number 1

Hello everyone! This is the first in a series of an ATC collection called "Beautiful Witches". The images are from Moonlight Journey, 'Beautiful Witches', created by whymsicalmusings. Check out their site! I decided on the same name for my collection, because the images will all be from that sheet. That's about all I can say about this one. My weekend starts now, and lasts until Tuesday, yipee!!! Hope yours is great.

Earth Love Tag Book

This is one of the projects that I've been working on, here and there, for the last few weeks. I won a paper crafting kit by Cosmo Cricket called "Earth Love", I've had it for a while now...like, ah, 3 years. It's about recycling, reusing, re-purposing, and of course, loving our Earth. The cover, above, is 2 5/8" x 4".

I made the book so that when each page is flipped up, the top and bottom pages match. I punched a hole in the upper left corner, and added a metal ring. This is not easy to photograph. These 3 shots came out pretty well, the others did not, so I will have to share them later. The page at the left is decoupaged with free public domain vintage label art, Earth Love elements are added to the top page and the Robin on the bottom is an image that I picked up from the "Graphics Fairy", thanks Karen. The pages to the right are all from the Cosmo Cricket kit. Thanks for the visit and don't forget to follow me!!!

Hi Everyone!
Here's an update as to where and how you can follow me. I keep reading about Google Friend Connect going away but will that even affect 'follow'? Doesn't really matter, because I giving you options, people. ;-) The first is not on my sidebar, there is no button. Here is the link:
Google+
Sign up for Google+ and add me to your circles and I'll add you to mine! As I said in this post, Some Blogging Rambles..., it's nice to have it all together. There is the 'Follow Me On Pinterest' bar, which is fun, but does not follow this blog. Check out my Boards on Pinterest, it's a great way to save ideas. I've also joined and have 'Linky Followers' on my sidebar, just click on 'follow me'. You can also click on the FeedBurner icon and follow via a reader. There is still the old 'Join this Site' by Google, and 'Follow by e-mail' box. There are other ways to follow, but these were the easiest to navigate and user friendly in my opinion.
Have a Great Day!
~Lori

Valentine....

I love this card, it's for my dear husband. It's designed by Susan, another of our gorgeous Stamp Camp cards, all SU of course. The blue on the red is really WOW, don't you think? My eyes go wonky when I look at it, thank goodness it looks normal in real life. No wonky eyes. I'm not sure what set the 'With Love' comes from, but I really, really like it. That's all I have today, be back later with something new. Susan says she is tired of seeing her stuff on my blog all of the time, heehee, I've been 'blocked', jeesh.
Thanks for visiting!!!

Some Blogging Rambles...

This is the ramble I had last night when updating the "About Me" section of my newly updated Google+. So far I like the idea of having everything all together on Google. I use iGoogle for my home page and from there can check my g-mail, check the blogs I follow via Google Reader, go to my Google+ home page, or directly to my Blogger blog. I still have a lot to learn, but it seems fairly easy. I decided this "About Me" is way to long for the space so here it is.....

I started blogging in order to display my card and scrap book projects. It became a place to keep up with all of the new blogs springing up. I just stumbled along, trial & error, along with advice from friendly bloggers. I'm still learning as I go, in order to keep my blog a happy, pretty, and smooth flowing place to visit. It never gets boring, that's for sure. I'm trying to move my talents in other directions as far as Arts and Crafts go. I think I have a gazillion cards ready to give. And, how about all of the decorating, crafty and thrifty type blogs? I am having a blast and Pinning a lot of ideas. Okay, I really need to implement some of the tips and decorate and craft something that I've Pinned!!!!  Have a fun look around my 'all over the map' kind of blog **smiles**

Thanks for taking the time to read about me and my blogging experiences.

Keeping My Fingers Crossed!

This is going to be a quick post because I'm not even sure if the photo will show up. As you may have noticed a lot of my photos are black triangles, *grrr*.

Okay, so is anyone else having problems with photos? They seem to come and go since yesterday. Anyway..... This is a SU! card that I designed at Susan's stamp camp last month. I just love the crowns and wanted to use them.
Thanks & Smiles,
Lori

For A Friend

The Director of Christian Eduction for my daughter's church has become a friend of mine, as we cross paths often and I do volunteer there sometimes. She needed a favor and I was happy to do it.

If these cards look familiar, it is because a year or so ago I made them for DD's confirmation class.  Bonnie asked if I would mind making cards for the children who will receive Bibles on Sunday.  I had about half of the 27 she needed, left over. We agreed that these would work just fine, so I made the rest. She promised me that I hadn't signed up to do this for life, but the list would be smaller next year...this was a 'catch-up' year. **GRIN**

I think it's wonderful that the church gives bibles to the young members. I'm not sure exactly at what age, I think my DD received hers at 14.

Thanks for visiting, Hugs & Smiles ~Lori

Type written note...

This is another card we made at Susan's house for stamp camp. I thought this would be perfect for my dad, (if your reading this, dad, forget you saw anything).  It is a simple, no frills kind of card. The brads are man bling in my book, unless they sparkle a lot, which these do not. Thanks for coming in to visit me with my sporadic postings. It's been a few rough months for my brain/migraines, this Michigan weather is terrible. From 48 to 28 in just a day or two. Snow...then melts in a day or two. Whatever
Hugs~
