Lavender & Rosemary

This is my first attempt at growing Lavender. I think I need to re-pot into a larger vessel, the plant just started growing so fast. There are a few purple petals where she has started to bloom, but I need to do a little reading on when to harvest and how to cut and dry.
This is my rosemary.  I want to start propagating her now that I know that I can. While blog hopping or browsing Pinterest, I came upon a post from  Juniper Moon Farm about how to propagate Rosemary, (I believe they want to grow a hedge eventually). I found out that you can do the same with Lavender, check out their fabulous blog or go through my Pinterest board, Herbal Apothecary. Visiting both of us would definately be worth your time.
Here is a closer shot of the Lavender and below a closer shot of the rosemary.

Thanks for stopping by, I would love to hear what you think and welcome any advice,
Hugs~Lori

Your rosemary is beautiful in your container! I have a 'Tuscan Blue' rosemary that I grow in the ground, and it's over 6 feet tall! It was a little shrimp of a thing, and it didn't like where I planted it at first, but I moved it and it took off. It blooms early, in Feb. and March here, and the hummingbirds love these flowers. Take care, and thank you for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment!

So pretty. I checked out your board, I'm really into all of that herbal stuff so I'm going to save it and go back to it to learn more. I love the smell of Lavender, it's one of my favorite fragrances.

Because I'm plant-deficient, I need to ask: does the lavender plant smell pretty? My aunt told me that some plants aren't fragrant until they're dried and I didn't know if that applied to lavender. I could google it, but that's what I have you for! :)
