Independence Day

Today I'm sharing my Independence Day card. My Happy 4th of July!!! It's a little early, but I wanted to share it with a few fun parties today.
This card is full of texture, don't you love that? Everything is Stampin' Up. This is exactly how Susan had it demonstrated. She teases that I always have to change her cards. Well, several of the cards you will be seeing over the next weeks are tweaked a bit here and there. I have a ton of cards ready to share from the last two months of our stamp camps. I love that we got the crimper out for the Night of Navy card stock. The heart and star punches are always fun too.  Below is a close up of the heart so that you can see the dry embossed Polk-a-dots.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving you comments,
Hugs~Lori

More of Our Back Yard

I think this is called a Snowball Bush, but I'm not sure. It is HUGE! It has spread out quite a bit over the years. Beautiful, yes. In my way when I go out to hang clothes on the line? Yes. It is overgrowing my stone path, I guess I should have taken a photo of that too. Anyway, I just wanted to show a few shots of our yard. As I said in the day-lily post, I was only able to get a few areas because of the time of day.

The leaves are gorgeous green and the flowers are a beautiful white. Easy to care for....we don't have to do a thing except trim it!!! They are not fragrant, which is a bummer.

Day Lilly's

These are the Day-Lilly's behind our garage. It wasn't a great day for photos, as you can see in the close up below, a bit of wilting was going on. It is a bit warm and sunny on the south side of the old carriage house. Our garage is actually the original carriage house for our Victorian era farmhouse.  More about the interesting history of our home in another post. The Day-Lilly's are rather wild behind the corner and around one side. When we first moved in I cut a few and brought them into the house, but they died by the next morning. Oh! That must be why they are called day-lilly's!!! Who knew? Well, we didn't really have many flowers on the farm while I was growing up. Sheesh! Tee hee, silly girl.
Thanks for stopping by, hope I put a little smile on your face and sun in your eyes. **Smiles**

Cheerful Flowers

Just wanted to post this little cutie. It is all punches! I thought that "You're Fantastic!", was the perfect little greeting for such a cheerful card. I love the bright colors and vase of flowers for a get well card,  I could just add that sentiment to the inside. Thanks Susan! {{it's a stamp camp creation}}

ATC

Another of my scrapped ATC projects. I had this colored SEEDS image and added some scrap dp. The bottom needed something, so I added a few garden bugs. The image is from Deedee's Digis, but her shop is closed now. Thanks for visiting!

Friday Card & A Reminder

Nothing super exciting today, just a card. I love these Stampin' Up stamps, so natural. I think I left this card just the way my friend, Susan designed it. Love the design, but I do know my grass is darker. I didn't stamp off, but I think it looks good like this anyway.

Simple Little ATC

Here is a super simple "Nell" ATC, using Old Olive and Not Quite Navy card stock. She is colored with water color pencils and Goo Gone, fussy cut and mounted to the dry embossed NQN. She was an extra, leftover print and the card stock was scrap. Using up the leftovers,  that is what is fun about making, trading, and collecting ATC's. SAVE the Trees, the planet, money, and less for the landfills.
